Manual Therapy

Manual therapy is a specialized approach to physiotherapy, enabling specific manual treatment of neuro-musculo-skeletal dysfunctions through mobilization and manipulation.

This type of treatment stems from a rigorous clinical reasoning process based on a bio-psycho-social model.

This approach is taught during the school curriculum and is further developed during post-graduate training courses in manual therapy. These courses are offered by the orthopedic division of the Association québécoise de physiothérapie musculosquelettique avancée, and are spread over several years.
