Biography
Who is Mario?
I am a massage therapist with a long-standing passion for helping people move better, recover more effectively, and feel their best. I began my career in 2002 and have been dedicated to refining my craft ever since. I enjoy working with a wide range of clients and value adapting my approach to each individual’s needs. Outside of the clinic, I love being involved in sports environments and working with performers, where physical demands are high and care must be precise. In my free time, I enjoy staying active, especially through soccer, listening to music, reading, and appreciating the benefits of massage from the other side of the table.
Training and professional skills
I completed my certification in Kinetic Swedish Massage at Kiné-Concept in Montreal in 2002 and am a member of the Fédération des massothérapeutes du Québec (FQM). Since graduating, I have continually expanded my skill set through ongoing education to broaden my therapeutic approach. My training includes advanced techniques aimed at addressing muscular tension, movement restrictions, and recovery needs. I also have extensive experience working on-site at sporting events and have been a massage therapist for Cirque du Soleil artists since 2006, experiences that have strongly shaped my clinical expertise and adaptability.
Here is an overview of my certifications:
- Swedish Massage: A foundational therapeutic technique using rhythmic strokes and targeted pressure to reduce muscle tension, improve circulation, and promote overall relaxation.
- Prenatal Massage: Specialized care adapted to the needs of pregnant clients.
- Sports Massage: A targeted technique to support performance, recovery, and injury prevention.
- Chair Massage: A seated massage offered in 15–20-minute sessions to quickly relieve tension and promote relaxation.
- Manual Lymphatic Drainage: Gentle methods designed to support circulation and fluid balance.
- Masso-kinesitherapy: A combination of massage and movement techniques that helps clients address biomechanical issues, improve mobility, and reduce pain.
“I believe that experience, precision, and a genuine passion for movement are what allow me to support my clients in feeling stronger, more mobile, and more confident in their bodies.”
