Alicia Allen Physiotherapist
I'm available at this clinic: Montreal - Downtown
Alicia graduated from the McGill University Physiotherapy program in 2018. Previously, she graduated from Western University with a Master's in Kinesiology and a Bachelor's of Health Science, majoring in health promotion. She is a member of l'Ordre professionnel de la physiothérapie du Québec (OPPQ).
During her time at McGill, Alicia worked as a student therapist for the McGill men's varsity soccer and rugby teams. She also worked with the Montreal Alouettes as a student therapist during their 2018 summer training camp. She is certified in level 1 manual therapy and took elective sports therapy courses at McGill. During her research Master's, she studied the effects of magnetic fields on standing balance (see selected publications). With 2 Master's degrees and several publications under her belt, Alicia keeps up-to-date with the latest research and applies this to her treatment methods.
An active listener, Alicia prioritizes your goals and emphasizes a patient-centred approach to treatment. This includes providing you with a thorough understanding of the treatment and course of action so we can work together to get you back to what you enjoy doing most.
Alicia's main hobby includes playing soccer, whether it is through recreational leagues or even through friendly pickup matches in the park. She also enjoys hiking, cycling, and distance running, especially in community running groups.
