Le Grand Défi Pierre Lavoie - La Course

La Course :  an unforgettable experience and a unique concept!

Le Grand Defi Pierre Lavoie’s La Course event targets mainly sedentary young people in order to get them to change their lifestyle for the better. In addition, it is designed to stimulate team spirit and camaraderie, making it a unifying project that will develop in young people a strong sense of belonging to their community.

It is a running event, but it is also a movement to shape and change lifestyle habits that the organization wishes to establish on a large scale throughout the province and beyond! Each participating school must, throughout the year, involve the largest number of young people into physical activity by organizing training, fitness activities, occasional sporting events, etc.

This year of training will culminate in a selection of 40 runners who will be selected to participate in the event. Participating in La Course is becoming an ambassador for healthy lifestyles and a model for society.

Date: Saturday May 9 to Sunday May 10, 2020

Participants: more than 145 secondary, college and university establishments. 40 students per school for a total of more than 5,800 participants.

Their challenge: To relay the distance between Quebec and Montreal, a distance of about 270 km, day and night. A huge celebration will be organized upon their arrival to welcome them.
