Alisa completed a Bachelor of Science at Concordia University, specializing in Athletic Therapy in 2018. She is part of the Canadian Athletic Therapy Association (CATA) as well as La Corporation des Thérapeutes du Sport du Québec (CTSQ). Since starting in the field of athletic therapy, Alisa has worked with a numerous amount of sports including football, soccer, hockey, rugby, and many more. She is very passionate about the sports she is covering and always interested in learning about new sports along the way.
Alisa joined the Action Sport Physio team in 2017 as a physiotherapist assistant while completing the remaining of her 1200 internship hours as a Concordia student. Since then, she has worked as an athletic therapist with a number of the sports teams in St. Leonard including the St. Leonard Cougars as well as the Lester B. Pearson High School student athletes.As an athletic therapist, Alisa is a specialist in orthopedic injuries including muscles, bones, and joints. She is trained in emergency care for on- and off-field injuries as well pre- and post-game rehabilitation such as tapings, exercises, and manual techniques. She is always interested in learning new skills that she can apply in her everyday life so she can grow as an athletic therapist.
