Biography
Iva is working as an intern osteopath while completing her studies in osteopathy at the Centre Ostéopathique du Québec. She completed her Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology at McGill University in 2018.
A former athlete, Iva has always been passionate about sports which lead her to study kinesiology. Her curiosity about the human body paired with her willingness to help others prompted her to pursue her studies in osteopathy. The holistic approach of osteopathy grounded in the relationship between the structure and function of the body is what sparked her passion for this form of manual therapy. Her treatment approach focuses on finding the root cause of her patients’ problem that can often be masked by the body’s innate ability to compensate pain. She uses joint normalizations, muscle energy techniques, myofascial release, cranial therapy and visceral therapy.
Iva is passionate about any form of physical activity, but especially weight training. She has strong interests in wellness, nutrition and mindfulness. She enjoys spending her free time with family and friends, and she loves to escape and travel.
