Kate is a graduate summa cum laude from McMaster University's Bachelor of Health Sciences (Honours) program in Ontario. Upon completing her undergrad, Kate attended Western University in London, Ontario, to complete a Master of Physical Therapy (MPT) degree. Her clinical experience during this time included outpatient orthopedic clinics, surgical acute care, ICU rehab, and inpatient neurological rehab.
Upon graduating with her Masters of Physiotherapy, Kate accepted a new challenge as a Physiotherapist in the home care setting in rural Ontario. Kate was responsible for rehabilitating adult and senior populations with conditions encompassing all domains of physiotherapy: musculoskeletal and orthopedic injuries (i.e. ORIF, hip replacements, knee replacements) as well as neurological (i.e. stroke, Parkinson's, Multiple Sclerosis, TBI, balance re-training) and/or cardiorespiratory conditions (i.e. COPD, post-heart attack) to name but a few.
Kate's professional career led her to a new opportunity in the United Arab Emirates where she opened and ran a Home Care company while acting as Director and Physiotherapist Head. She later worked for BounceBack Physiotherapy, a reputable sports clinic in Abu Dhabi, U.A.E., treating orthopedic/musculoskeletal and neurological conditions. During her time at BounceBack, Kate covered Triathlon events and held prenatal talks for expecting mothers.
