Peter Vavougios Physiotherapist
I'm available at this clinic: Saint-Laurent
Peter has worked passionately as a physiotherapist for 35 years. His delivery of quality rehabilitation has been extensively based on the best available evidence. His career began in sports medicine but this expertise took him inside the hospital environment where his strong dedication to get patients up and moving proved to be exciting and rewarding. Believing that movement brings better living, he was successful in engaging his patients to return to functional independence at the same time helping to shorten their length of stay in the hospital.
This same desire to empower the individual in taking charge of their health has lead him to bring this message into the community by promoting health and wellness and teaching the merits of active living.
Peter has contributed to the elevation of the physiotherapy profession through mentoring physiotherapy students from McGill University during their clinical stages. His collaborative approach allows him to assess discomforts, and injuries to the body as a whole as he works with clients towards pain-free and more active lifestyles.
Peter is continuously bettering himself in rehabilitation through continuing education and provides a positive attitude for all those around him and notably his clients.
In addition to his professional activities, Peter enjoys nordic walking, biking and spending time with his children, family and grandchildren.
