Le Grand Défi Pierre Lavoie - 1000 KM

June 18, 2020

On June 18, 19, 20 and 21, Pierre Lavoie will meet seasoned and determined cyclists for the 12th edition of the 1000 KM event - a remarkable event offered by the Grand Défi Pierre Lavoie organization, which rallies all the entire province of Quebec.

Cycling 1000 km in 60 hours straight, from Saguenay-Lac-Saint-Jean to Montreal, with major stops in several other cities in the province: that's the 1000 KM event!

Participation numbers increase every year. In fact, the 1000 KM event welcomed 215 teams in 2019.

The 1000 KM is a major event which offers a framework worthy of the biggest sporting events. It combines the effort of more than 800 volunteers, and their work is orchestrated by an organizing committee whose members come mainly from the Saguenay region.
