I'm available at this clinic: Montreal - Downtown
B.Sc., CAT(c), ATC
Sarah-Maude graduated from Concordia University with a Bachelor of Exercise Science specialized in Athletic Therapy in 2011. Since then, she has worked in the field with various sports teams at all levels. She was the coordinator of the Lac St-Louis Regional Soccer Association’s medical department from 2012 to 2016. She was an assistant therapist for the Canadiennes de Montréal from 2014 to 2016, and she still provides medical coverage for several professional tournaments sanctioned by Tennis Canada. For 7 years now, Sarah-Maude has been the head therapist for the Cégep de Saint-Laurent men's hockey team, playing in the college league division 1. Her experience with a multitude of sports has also led her to the Canada Games in 2015.
A member of the Action Sport Physio family since 2012, Sarah-Maude joined the downtown team in 2017. Her in-clinic experience focuses on treating the active population and athletes. She currently holds a position as a therapist at the National Circus School of Montreal, where she works with emerging circus artists.
In her life, Sarah-Maude has practiced many sports herself, and despite an unusual and often busy schedule, she needs to be active daily. Running and indoor training are now her favourite activities. Sarah-Maude is also a fan of traveling, skiing, and hiking. She was able to bring these passions together by skiing in the Canadian Rockies and by walking in the Swiss Alps.
Dynamic, passionate, and a good popularizer, Sarah-Maude likes to combine manual therapy with exercises specific to the practiced sport. She focuses her continuing education on perfecting manual therapy and learning assessment techniques that approach the body as a whole. She also likes the use of more modern modalities such as cupping and proprioceptive taping.
