Biography

M.Sc. P.T., PhD candidate

Kedar is a PhD candidate in rehabilitation science at the School of Physical and Occupational Therapy (SPOT), McGill University. He is trained as a physiotherapist and specializes in rehabilitation of adult and pediatric neurological health states. He is passionate about neuroscience and recovery potential following neurological insult/condition. His research is focused on establishing a link between what a patient can and cannot do, linking information obtained from outcome such as PROs; ClinROs; PerfOs and TechROs, among people with multiple sclerosis, Parkinson's, elderly and frail individual. He was also a teaching assistant for 2 years in neuro-rehabilitation at SPOT, McGill University.

His interest to work in the field of neuro-rehabilitation and evidence-based practice stemmed from the realization that there is a need to move research into clinical practice while exploring potentials for new technologies, such as the magnesphere, for clinical application. He is a certified neurodevelopmental therapist and has extensive experience in treating neurological conditions such as stroke, multiple sclerosis and Parkinson's, among others. His research background gives him the needed expertise to move research into clinics.

Kedar actively presents his research work at various regional, national and international conferences and is supported by various funding agencies. He has participated in summer school focused on stroke (CPSR), multiple sclerosis (MSSI) and aging (CIHR), providing him with the latest information in the field.
