A physiotherapy graduate from the University of Montreal in 1987, Yves was an assistant physiotherapist at the Player’s Canadian Open (tennis) in Montreal in 1987 and worked in sports medicine for a year at Notre-Dame-de-Grâce. He was able to familiarize himself with isokinetic devices (kaiser) and learn the Mézières method in global postural rehabilitation.
Yves then worked at the Lachine Hospital (MUHC) for 34 years as a physiotherapist and also a coordinator, working with hospitalized or external orthopedic clients (post-fracture or post-operative). In addition, he has developed an expertise in foot surgery cases in collaboration with Dr. Jones, orthopedic specialist in late consolidation, among others.
Yves also completed three years of training in osteopathy at the CEO as well as the two levels in vestibular rehabilitation. He also obtained the radiography prescription license.
In his spare time, Yves keeps fit with jogging, cycling, and in winter, cross-country skiing. Passionate about traveling and learning foreign languages, he perfected his Spanish in immersion in Mexico and Spain, and can also get by in German.
