Samantha is a recent graduate from the Health, Kinesiology and Applied physiology program with a specialization in Athletic Therapy at Concordia University and a newly certified Athletic Therapist (CAT(C)). She is a member of the Corporation des thérapeutes du sport du Québec (CTSQ) and the Canadian Athletic Therapists Association (CATA).
As an athletic therapist she specializes in the prevention, assessment and rehabilitation of acute and chronic musculoskeletal injuries. She also does first aid coverage for different sporting events and games. Throughout her schooling she had a chance to work with various sports teams (basketball, volleyball, soccer) on the field, as well as with circus artists and the general population in the clinic.
Samantha has a passion for movement and the performing arts. She has been dancing for over 20 years. She also trained professionally at L’Ecole de danse contemporaine de Montréal (EDCMTL) and has been sharing her knowledge and passion for dance through teaching for the last 7 years. Her background as a professional dancer and dance teacher allows her to have a great understanding of human movement and biomechanics.Samantha’s goal is to help her clients, whether they be professional/recreational athletes or weekend warriors, get back to their sports, daily activities and doing what they love.
