I'm available at this clinic: Saint-Laurent
Amanda completed her bachelor’s degree in Athletic Therapy at Concordia University in 2019, and is on her way to becoming a certified Athletic Therapist. She is passionate about the sports medicine field and wishes to one day work with a high level sports team. Her passion for sports started at a young age, as she became involved in soccer and hockey at the age of 5, which she still enjoys playing today.
Throughout her 1200 hours of internship, Amanda has worked with numerous sports, including soccer, basketball, and football, although her favourite will always be hockey. She is experienced in emergency care on the field as well as the assessment and rehabilitation of acute and chronic injuries in the clinic. Her favourite part about being an Athletic Therapist is going through the return-to-play rehabilitation stage with her athletes. Not only does she get to run fun drills with them, but she also gets to see the athletes gain confidence in their abilities and be happy to be practicing their sport again. On top of working with athletes, she has also worked in a private clinic during her internship at the Perform Center, where she treated a wide clientele for chronic injuries such as low back and neck pain.Amanda is also passionate about helping others. Whether it is during rehabilitation in order to help patients get back to doing what they love, or by providing patients with excellent customer service, she will go above and beyond to make sure the client’s needs are met. This includes being a team player, as she truly believes that therapy should involve working as a team in order for the patient to get back to being happy and pain-free as soon as possible.
