Biography

Who is Valérie ?

I'm Valérie, physiotherapist. What I find motivating in my profession is being able to help people make positive progress as part of a rehabilitation process. I'm empathetic and caring by nature, and I take people's well-being to heart. What's more, I like to see them evolve and help them improve their physical quality of life. My approach is warm and welcoming, and it's important for me to foster a relationship of trust, in order to optimize my practice. I'm interested in physical activity and enjoy moving around on a daily basis (pilates, yoga, hiking, climbing, running, cycling, downhill skiing). I like to play, laugh, marvel, travel, learn, chat with open-minded people and express myself through music.

Professional training and skills

I am a physiotherapist, graduated from the University of Montreal, since 2018. In the course of my practice, I have taken part in ongoing training to develop my skills, according to my interests, and to guide my services.

Here's an overview of my training courses:

  • UNIVERSITY CERTIFICATE OF MICROPROGRAM (2 nd CYCLE) IN PERINEAL AND PELVIC REEDUCATION: Training in perineal and pelvic rehabilitation enables me to assess and treat the following conditions: urinary incontinence (stress, emergency or mixed), prolapse (or organ descent), constipation, pelvic, genital or lumbar/pelvic pain, rehabilitation in pregnant and post-partum women, and issues related to surgery (prostatectomy, prolapse correction, gender affirmation, etc.). ).
  • LEVEL 1 CLINICAL INTEGRATION (ASSOCIATION QUÉBÉCOISE DE PHYSIOTHÉRAPIE MUSCULOSQUELETTIQUE AVANCÉE)
  • LEVEL 2 SUPERIOR QUADRANT (ASSOCIATION QUÉBÉCOISE DE PHYSIOTHÉRAPIE MUSCULOSQUELETTIQUE AVANCÉE): AQPMA training courses have enabled me to improve my manual therapy techniques and consolidate knowledge acquired during my university training.
  • PHYSIOTHERAPY PUNCTURE: BASIC COURSE (OPPQ): Puncture with dry needles in physiotherapy is part of a treatment modality that deactivates trigger points. This approach aims to relieve pain of muscular or myofascial origin.

I look forward to meeting you!
