Biography

Who is Yulia?

I am a physiotherapist and former high-level athlete with a passion for well-being, movement, and personal growth. My athletic background, particularly in competitive swimming leading up to the Paris 2024 Olympic trials, has deeply shaped my approach to rehabilitation. Today, I continue to challenge myself by training for a half marathon, with the potential goal of taking on new challenges such as a full marathon or a triathlon. Outside of the clinic, I enjoy staying active, running, practicing yoga, and spending time outdoors. Fluent in English, French, and Bulgarian, I value building genuine connections with the people I work with. My goal is to help individuals feel good in their bodies and move forward with confidence toward their goals.

Education and professional competencies

I hold a Master’s degree in Physiotherapy and a Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology from McGill University. My practice focuses on orthopedic physiotherapy, with particular interest in sports injuries, running-related issues, and temporomandibular joint (TMJ) conditions. I take the time to truly listen and understand what each person is going through, so I can provide care that feels both personalized and supportive.

My certifications:

  • Lower Quadrant Manual Therapy – Level 3: Advanced assessment and treatment techniques for the lower extremity
  • Running Evaluation: Biomechanical analysis and diagnostic of running injuries to improve movement efficiency and prevent injuries
  • TMJ Treatment: Targeted approach for managing jaw pain and dysfunction

“True healing comes from working with the body, not against it.”
