Thermoplastic Orthotics

Thermoplastic orthosis play an important role in healthcare and rehabilitation.

They are custom fabricated by an occupational therapist to treat different hand, wrist and/or finger conditions. These orthoses are made from low temperature thermoplastic material which is molded to the individual to correct and support their upper limb in order to optimise their overall function.

Conditions associated (but not limited to):

  • Carpal tunnel syndrome
  • Dupuytren’s
  • Arthritis 
  • Boxer’s fracture 
  • Tennis elbow 
  • Scaphoid fracture

Thermoplastic orthosis offer an optimal balance between comfort, functionality and custom fit, helping to improve patients' quality of life.
