Biography
Who is Sophie ?
I've been a physiotherapist since 2018 and began my career at Action Sport Physio Saint-Eustache. I've played soccer since I was very young. I continue to enjoy this wonderful sport year-round. Also, in the last few years, a new passion has been born: golf. A sport that's so frustrating, yet so enjoyable! Finally, I watch the vast majority of sports on television and am a fan of Montreal teams.
Training and professional skills
Sophie obtained her Master's degree in Physiotherapy from the University of Sherbrooke in 2018. During her studies, Sophie completed her Sports First Responder course so she could participate in competitions and other sporting events as a physiotherapist. She was able to follow a Bantam AAA hockey team during the winter of 2018, in addition to completing an internship with the Chicoutimi Saguenéens, who play in the QMJHL.
Since graduating, she has completed several training courses, particularly in running, vestibular rehabilitation for vertigo and dizziness, and concussion management. She can now also use dry needling (dry needling physiotherapy) in her treatments, if necessary. She stays up-to-date on all kinds of musculoskeletal conditions through various online platforms, which provide access to information from physiotherapists around the world.
