Shaheer completed his master’s in physiotherapy at McGill in 2024. During his research project, Shaheer had the chance to work and study vestibular conditions following stroke. As a recent graduate, Shaheer is passionate about developing his manual therapy skills and learning more advanced techniques. To deepen his knowledge, Shaheer completed the Level 1 & 2 (Upper & Lower Quadrant) Manual Therapy course from the AIM (Advanced Integrated Musculoskeletal) program offered by the Canadian Physiotherapy Association (CPA). He is continuing his training by taking the Level 3 Lower Manual Therapy course in Calgary and has also taken training in Mulligan.
Throughout his studies, Shaheer had the opportunity to learn and work in different settings and fields of physiotherapy, including a McKenzie-certified clinic, a chronic pain management clinic, a vestibular rehab clinic, and the stroke/neurosurgery rehab ward at the Jewish General Hospital.
Shaheer’s passion for helping patients developed during high school when he volunteered at multiple hospitals in Montreal. Shaheer also helped with Elections Canada in 2019, where he had the role of hospital ballot coordinator. He had the special role of helping patients vote from the comfort of their rooms.
Shaheer is passionate about sports, being a previous semi-professional athlete in handball (Handball Québec). Shaheer also enjoys playing soccer, running long distances, cycling, and skiing. He has recently started trail running, participating in multiple Spartan races throughout Canada. Being involved in injuries that require rehab, Shaheer is committed to helping his patients recover their potential.
