Biography
Who is SARAH-JANE ?
From a young age, I knew I wanted to pursue a career in the healthcare field. When I discovered the profession of occupational therapy, I was immediately drawn to its client-centered approach, which considers clients’ abilities, interests, and priorities. During my studies in occupational therapy, I quickly became aware of the potential daily challenges faced by people with physical, mental, or cognitive difficulties. I also came to understand the positive impact that support, active listening, and collaboration can have on these individuals’ lives, and I feel very fortunate to work in a profession that allows me to help others in achieving greater independence and well-being. Outside of my clinical practice, I enjoy staying active through sports, exploring new places through travel, and listening to music.
Training and professional skills
I earned my bachelor’s degree from McGill University in 2023, majoring in anatomy and cell biology and minoring in psychology. Combining these interests, I went on to earn my master’s degree in occupational therapy in 2025, also at McGill University, with the goal of expanding my knowledge of mental health therapy. Today, I practice as an occupational therapist with a growing interest in mental health and a commitment to helping my clients regain their independence in daily life, regardless of the source of their challenges.
Here is an overview of my certifications :
National Occupational Therapy Certification : CAOT-certified occupational therapist through successful completion of the National Occupational Therapy Certification Examination.
