Who is Raphaëlle?

I am a physiotherapist, a profession I discovered during my teenage years when I was a gymnast and experienced musculoskeletal pain that limited my ability to train. My experiences as a physiotherapy patient made me realize the importance of active listening, empathy, and strong collaboration between therapist and patient. Although I no longer practice gymnastics, I’m still someone who loves to move and stay active, especially when it involves being outdoors—like hiking, canoeing, or kayaking. I also enjoy running and working out at the gym, and I read a lot in my spare time. Passionate about travel and naturally curious, I hope to find time in the coming years to keep exploring new parts of the world and learn new things. My curiosity has also led me to pursue further studies in the years ahead to deepen my knowledge in my field.

Training and professional skills 

I graduated with a Master’s degree in Physiotherapy from the University of Sherbrooke in May 2025. During my training, I completed internships with a wide range of clients and in various settings, including athletes and workers dealing with musculoskeletal injuries or pain, post-orthopedic surgery, and even individuals living with long COVID. I also completed many pediatric placements, working with conditions such as plagiocephaly, torticollis, and developmental delays. In fact, I took elective courses during my university studies to gain more knowledge in this area of practice.

Here is an overview of my training courses:

Training in X-ray Prescription: This training was part of my university curriculum and allowed me to obtain certification for prescribing X-rays. This certification enables me to prescribe X-rays when deemed appropriate in the context of a trauma that occurred within the past 72 hours.
