Biography
Graduating in 2004 with a BSc. in Microbiology/Immunology from the Université de Montréal, Maya worked for 10 years in scientific research, including several years for Quebec’s public health.
At the same time, in 2005, she continued her studies to become an osteopath at the Collège d'Études Ostéopathiques of Montreal, where she graduated. A former classical ballet dancer with a passion for medicine, for Maya osteopathy is the manual therapeutic approach that best suits her, as it combines body language and health.
Maya's passion for paediatrics and perinatal care was revealed in 2010, when she began treating her daughter with osteopathy after a difficult birth. Since then, she has followed a number of postgraduate training courses to specialize and respond as effectively as possible to this patient group. Maya also worked for several years in pregnancy/post-partum and fertility care as a consultant for the Clinique OVO Montréal.
Today, she can meet the needs of pediatric problems such as torticollis, plagiocephaly, developmental delays, GERD .... To name but a few, but also monitor the mother's physical changes before and after pregnancy, fertility disorders and the various hormonal variations in women throughout life.
