Biography
Who is Marika ?
After a career in administration, I decided to take the plunge and go back to school to become an occupational therapist. Today, I am proud to practice this profession, which allows me to be close to people. Connection to others, community, and mutual aid are values that are dear to me. I am also a nature lover: I never say no to hiking or traveling, which allow me to discover the beauty of the world. In my spare time, I enjoy reading, trying new recipes, and playing board games. For me, it's important to enjoy life. I aspire to keep my childlike heart, to laugh, and to have fun as often as possible!
Education and professional skills
Marika obtained her master's degree in occupational therapy from the University of Sherbrooke in 2025. Her academic background has led her to develop her skills with a diverse clientele. She has completed internships in both the public and private health care systems, working with children, adults, and seniors. It was during her internships that she developed a strong interest in working with clients living with mental health issues. She also enjoys supporting people who have suffered physical injuries so that they can return to work and the activities that are important to them.
