Biography

Etta Mariani graduated from McGill University in 2000 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Physiotherapy. She is a member in good standing with l'Ordre professionnel des physiothérapeutes du Québec. Prior to obtaining her degree in physiotherapy, she graduated from Concordia University in 1997 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Science – specialization: Athletic Therapy. In 2000, she also obtained her certification as a certified athletic therapist with the Canadian Athletic Therapists Association. She has been a part of the Action Sport Physio team since 1995.
Etta has since demonstrated a particular professional interest in the field of orthopaedics, sports medicine and manual therapy. She has completed Muscle Energy courses on the cervical and lumbar spines and Muscle Activation Techniques of the upper and lower quadrants. Etta has completed her Level III courses- upper/lower quadrants in manual therapy with the AQPMO and has recently obtained her certificate of manipulation of articular and vertebral joints with the OPPQ in 2015. She has also completed various clinical courses on the evaluation and treatment of the thorax and on the Tempromandibular joint (TMJ) – Rocabado approach. Etta has completed the ReACT concussion attestation program specializing in the post-concussion care and management of injured athletes and is a CCMI (Complete Concussion Management) certified clinician.
