Biography
Who is Anna?
I’ve always loved helping people, and I knew I wanted to work in a field focused on the individual. Occupational therapy was a natural choice, as it emphasizes independence, the resumption of meaningful activities, and a holistic view of each person.
Outside of work, I enjoy traveling, discovering new cultures, and opening myself up to different perspectives. I’m also a creative person and love painting, which helps me offer varied, tailored, and sometimes more original interventions based on each person’s needs.
Training and professional skills
I completed my master’s degree in occupational therapy in 2021 at the University of Montreal and I am a member of the Ordre des ergothérapeutes du Québec. Since completing my studies, I have developed a particular interest in physical injuries, especially orthopedic ones, which has naturally led me to focus my practice on this type of clientele.
I enjoy supporting people in their recovery and helping them regain their independence in daily life. My interventions are tailored to each individual, using a compassionate and practical approach. I also place great importance on active listening and empathy, taking the time to fully understand each person’s story and needs. My goal is to create a warm and reassuring environment where my patients feel understood and confident throughout their rehabilitation process.
Here is an overview of my certifications:
Developing clinical exercises focused on biomechanics, postural hygiene, and return-to-work: This training enabled me to develop clinical exercises based on biomechanics, aimed at improving postural hygiene and promoting a safe and appropriate return to work.
Occupational Therapy and Chronic Pain: This training focused on understanding and managing chronic pain, with approaches aimed at improving daily functioning and quality of life.
Hand Therapy: This training deepened my knowledge in the assessment and treatment of hand conditions (pain, rhizarthrosis, fractures, tenorrhaphy, neuropathies) to promote functional recovery.
Computer Workstation Adjustment: This training focused on ergonomic analysis and workstation adjustments to prevent injuries and optimize comfort and performance.
Essential Knowledge in Vocational Rehabilitation (CNESST): This training focused on the roles and interventions of the occupational therapist in vocational rehabilitation, in accordance with the CNESST’s legislative framework and return-to-work protocols.
Medicine adds days to life. Occupational therapy adds life to days.
