Biography
Sophie obtained her Master's degree in physiotherapy from the University of Sherbrooke in 2018 and began her career at the Action Sport Physio clinic in Saint-Eustache/Deux-Montagnes. During her academic journey, Sophie completed a sports first responder course to be able to participate in competitions and other sports events as a physiotherapist. Consequently, she had the opportunity to accompany a Bantam AAA hockey team during the winter of 2018, in addition to completing an internship with the Chicoutimi Saguenéens, a team in the QMJHL (Quebec Major Junior Hockey League). A dedicated athlete herself, Sophie has been a soccer player since a young age. Recently, she has taken up golf, giving rise to a newfound passion.
Since earning her degree, she has pursued various additional training, focusing on running with the Running Clinic, vestibular rehabilitation for dizziness and vertigo, concussion management, and completing the A and C courses of the McKenzie method, an exercise-based approach. She is also proficient in the use of dry needling (physiotherapy puncture with dry needles) in her treatments, if deemed necessary. Sophie stays updated on a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions through various online platforms, accessing information from physiotherapists worldwide.
With her diverse professional and athletic experiences, she is well-equipped to warmly welcome you and address your various injuries and musculoskeletal issues.
