Biography
Who is Iskra?
My journey into the world of acupuncture was deeply personal, born out of a desire to find answers for a loved one struggling with severe health problems. That pivotal experience opened my eyes to a holistic approach to healing and changed the course of my life.
For over 20 years, I have proudly called Montreal my home. I am happily married and a proud parent, deeply valuing family and the bonds of friendship. As a person who prioritizes patience, humility, and an open mind, I am driven by a curious and caring nature to help others navigate their health journeys.
I believe in the profound potential for everyone to live a healthy, complete life. I truly believe in longevity, aiming for a healthy life that spans at least 120 years. My personal philosophy aligns with living close to nature; I am happiest in the mountains, finding peace and inspiration in the natural world.
I am a communicative person who loves meeting new people, listening to their stories, and supporting them in achieving better health and vitality. I understand what it is like to seek answers when faced with tough health obstacles. I believe in proactive, long-term health, not just quick fixes. I treat the whole person, focusing on both physical and emotional well-being.
Training and professional skills
After a long and fulfilling career in architecture, where I honed my skills in designing complex spaces and structures, I felt a deep pull toward a different kind of structure - the human body. I spent years focusing on structural integrity and design, but my passion shifted toward holistic health and well-being.
In 2025, I graduated from the acupuncture program in Halifax, bridging my background in structured, meticulous design with the ancient art of Traditional Chinese Medicine.
My goal is to blend the precision I learned in architecture with the compassionate care of acupuncture, helping patients create balanced and healthy life. I feel my life’s work has come full circle - moving from creating spaces for people to inhabit, to nurturing the body's own internal environment for life.
Here is an overview of my certifications:
· Foundations of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM): Understanding of fundamental concepts as Yin-Yang, Five Elements, to interpret natural processes and human physiology.
· Diagnostics of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM): History and application of the main tenets of diagnosis in TCM.
· Chinese Culture, History and Language: The philosophy of Tao and its application in TCM.
· Self-Healing Arts: Theory and exercises of traditional Qi Gong and Tai Qi
· Acupuncture Allied Therapies: Cupping therapy, Gua Sha, Tui Na, Moxibustion, Electro-acupuncture devices.
I consistently push myself to learn new skills, expand my knowledge base, and challenge my own limitations to ensure I am constantly evolving. My core focus is on delivering exceptional results. I am on a dedicated journey to become the best version of myself—not just for professional recognition, but for personal fulfillment. I believe that:
"Knowing others is intelligence; knowing yourself is true wisdom." – Lao Tzu
