Biography

Who is Isabelle ?

I am passionate about movement and sports, always seeking self-improvement both personally and professionally. Sports have always been an integral part of my life, which is why I chose a career in physiotherapy. I truly enjoy supporting athletes in their journey, whether it involves performance or rehabilitation. Outside of my practice, I dedicate a lot of time to my own physical activities: road cycling, snowboarding, and, more recently, triathlon. I love taking on new challenges, pushing my limits, and sharing my passion for movement with the people I work with. My involvement with young athletes and various sports federations allows me to stay connected to the field, which I find incredibly enriching.

Education and Professional Skills

I hold a Master’s degree in Physiotherapy from the Université de Montréal, which I obtained in 2016. From the beginning of my career at the Quebec Sport Physiotherapy Clinic, I knew that my path lay in the world of sports physiotherapy. In 2018, I earned my Sport Physiotherapy Certification from Sport Physiotherapy Canada, along with my certification as a Sports First Responder. These qualifications allow me to meet the specific needs of athletes, both on the field and in the clinic.

For seven years, I was the head physiotherapist for the A.S. Blainville men’s semi-professional soccer team, which competed multiple times in the Canadian Championship. In the past, I’ve also worked with Futsal Canada, the Canadian Men’s National Handball Team in preparation for the Pan American Games, and the Canadian Freestyle Ski Team. I continue to support young athletes as a member of the Conseil du développement de l’excellence sportive Laurentides (CDESL).

Here is an overview of my certifications:
  • Sport Physiotherapy Certification – Sport Physiotherapy Canada: An advanced, specialized approach to working with athletes.
  • Sports First Responder: Ensures efficient and safe emergency response on the field.
  • Concussion Management: Focuses on full recovery in both athletic and academic settings.
  • Vestibular Rehabilitation: Allows for effective treatment of balance disorders and dizziness.
  • Physiotherapy Dry Needling (PPAS): A technique used to treat muscle pain and tension.
  • Manual Therapy from the Quebec Association of Orthopedic Manual Therapy Physiotherapists: Levels 1, 2, and 3.
