What is IASTM treatment?

IASTM (Instrument-Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization) treatment is a therapeutic technique used by trained healthcare professionals such as physical therapists, massage therapists, and chiropractors. It involves using specialized instruments to detect and treat restrictions in soft tissues (muscles, fascia, tendons, ligaments).

With these instruments, the therapist can apply targeted pressure to:

Break up adhesions and scar tissue in the tissues,

Stimulate blood and lymphatic circulation,

Accelerate the healing process,

Reduce pain and improve mobility.

Who is IASTM for?

This approach is particularly effective for:

Chronic or acute muscle pain,

Is it painful?

The treatment can sometimes cause slight sensitivity or redness in the treated area, which is normal and temporary. The therapist always adjusts the pressure according to the tolerance of the person being treated.
