Biography

Who is Huda?

I’m a registered dietitian, graduated from McGill University, and a member of the Order of Dietitians and Nutritionists of Québec (ODNQ). I’ve always been interested in how we relate to food — not just in terms of health, but how it makes us feel and how it shapes the way we see ourselves. I love trying new cuisines, exploring different foods, and learning about how culture influences eating. I believe that all foods can have a place, and I try to offer a space that’s kind, respectful, and judgment-free. My approach is down-to-earth, flexible, and built around what works best for each person.

Training and professional skills

I earned my degree in Dietetics from McGill University in 2014, and I’ve been working with clients ever since. I’ve supported people managing different health conditions like diabetes, cancer, lung disease, digestive issues, chronic pain, and pregnancy. No matter the situation, I always bring in mindful eating and the Health at Every Size approach to help people feel safe and supported in their bodies. I also guest lecture at McGill on nutrition and respiratory health. Above all, I believe nutrition should be approachable, inclusive, and adapted to real life.

Here is an overview of my certifications:

  • ED for RDs: Eating Disorder Education for Registered Dietitians: A one-year online training focused on inclusive, compassionate care for people with eating disorders.
  • Body Image Fundamentals Course: Training to support clients in improving body image and building self-acceptance.
  • Intuitive Eating & Mindful Eating Workbook: Practical tools to help people reconnect with hunger, fullness, and enjoyment of food. • Clinical training in diabetes, cancer, lung conditions, digestive health, and pregnancy – These strengthen my holistic, mindful, and client-centered approach.

“All foods fit. Taking care of yourself starts with listening, not restricting.”
