Biography

Who is Guillaume?

Guillaume graduated with a degree in Physiotherapy from McGill University and a degree in Kinesiology from the Université de Montréal. Passionate about rehabilitation, he obtained two Master's degrees in Rehabilitation of Symptomatic Populations and in Physiotherapy to deepen his clinical knowledge on the management of various conditions. He is a member of the Ordre professionnel de la physiothérapie du Québec (OPPQ).

Using an approach focused on manual therapy and his in-depth knowledge of movement, Guillaume can help you better manage, treat, and prevent various conditions, including musculoskeletal disorders such as back pain, neck pain, shoulder pain, knee pain, running-related injuries, jaw disorders (TMJ), wrist pain, and various other conditions.

Education and professional skills

Guillaume is also certified to perform spinal and peripheral mobilizations, peripheral manipulations, muscle release techniques, and intra-oral techniques for jaw treatment (temporomandibular joint).

Thanks to his Master's degree in Kinesiology, Guillaume can also support you in achieving your performance goals in various sports such as running, climbing, and alpine skiing, while taking into account the presence of other metabolic comorbidities (type 1 and 2 diabetes, etc.) and cardiorespiratory conditions (hypertension, coronary artery disease, etc.).

Adopting a patient-centered approach, Guillaume prioritizes understanding your personal needs and life goals to build a collaborative and individualized treatment plan. He will adapt to your needs by promoting the adoption of healthy lifestyle habits and adequate stress management. Self-management (or "self-care"), which is taking charge of one's own health, is the ultimate goal of his approach.

Outside the clinic, Guillaume is very active, whether cycling, bouldering or skiing on Quebec's most beautiful slopes. During his quieter periods, he also shares his expertise by teaching first aid courses, being a ski patroller himself for almost 10 years now.
