Biography
Who is Georgine?
I am a physiotherapy technologist, yoga and Pilates teacher, and owner of a virtual movement studio. I have many roles and they are all based on the objective of helping people increase their function to live better. I moved to Montreal from Vancouver in 2019 with my husband and 2 black cats, as we fell in love with the city for its festivals and great restaurants, and the amount of cool small music venues to discover. In my spare time, I read books that range from weird sci-fi to dystopic fiction, and occasionally a cozy fantasy. I am not a good cook, but I pretend to be when watching cooking competitions, and I still try new recipes even if it sometimes must result in getting takeout after all. I love to go to art shows and music festivals and plan to explore new countries on my time off. My favourite thing is to help inspire others to bring balance into their lives, even if it is to only find a pocket of time for themselves to discover their own passions.
Training and professional skills
I received my DEC in Physiotherapy technology in 2025 from Dawson College. I work mostly with CNESST and SAAQ patients however I also see private patients, all you need is a physiotherapy evaluation and then you can continue with me until discharge. My goal when working with patients is to create a collaborative environment, because we are all built a bit differently and what style of treatment works for one person won't work for another. I will create an interesting exercise plan that fits into your schedule, drawing on my years of teaching exercise classes, and in-session support you in ways harder to do on your own time.
Here is an overview of my certifications:
- Chronic Pain and Fibromyalgia: The Pain Truth Certification (2026)
- Physiotherapy technology from Dawson College(2025)
- NASM personal training certification (2021)
- Meditation teacher training with Carolyn Budgell (2018)
- Barre level 1 with Barre Fitness (2017) -Fitness that combines ballet, pilates and strength training

“Fantasy and science fiction can be literal as well as allegorical and there’s nothing wrong with enjoying a monster like a giant squid for what it is, as well as searching for metaphor.” - China Miéville
