Biography
Who is Geneviève?
I am a mother of two energetic daughters, which keeps me constantly on the move! As a physiotherapy technologist, I am passionate about helping people regain their well-being and mobility. Before working in healthcare, I worked in the restaurant industry and event planning, where I developed my sense of service and management skills.
Traveling is my greatest passion: discovering new horizons deeply nourishes me.
Yoga helps me maintain balance, both physically and mentally. I am also passionate about the arts, which hold an important place in my life.
Curious and empathetic, I enjoy learning and constantly evolving.
Education and Professional Skills
Graduated from Cégep Montmorency in Physiotherapy Technology and a member of the OPPQ since 2015, I joined the Action Sport Physio team shortly after graduation. With a background in event management (tourism management technician), I naturally became responsible for social and marketing events.
Here is an overview of my certifications:
Manual Therapy of the Upper Limbs, Lower Limbs, and Spine – for Physiotherapy Technologists: This course introduces participants to manual techniques used to assess and relieve muscular and joint disorders of the arms, legs, and spine. It is aimed at physiotherapy technologists looking to expand their practical skills in manual therapy.
Structural Myofascial Therapy: This course explores manual techniques aimed at releasing fascial tensions, improving posture, and restoring mobility. It is designed for healthcare professionals wishing to incorporate a structured approach to myofascial treatment in their practice.
Complete Concussions Management Inc.: Training focused on the treatment and follow-up of concussions according to best clinical practices.
Neuro-Proprioceptive Taping: This course introduces professionals to the use of elastic taping to support muscles, reduce pain, and improve proprioception without limiting movement. A practical approach based on neurophysiological principles.
Biopsychosocial Barriers to Recovery: Identification and Intervention in Physiotherapy: This course equips therapists to recognize and address psychological, social, and behavioral factors that hinder recovery in order to optimize clinical outcomes.
