Biography

Who is Emily?

Emily’s path into occupational therapy grew from a genuine interest in understanding how people live their daily lives and what helps them feel fulfilled. She was drawn to a profession that focuses not just on recovery, but on enabling people to participate in the activities that give their lives meaning. She approaches her work with a strong emphasis on collaboration, recognizing that each client brings their own experiences and values. Creating a supportive and respectful space is central to how she works, allowing clients to feel comfortable and engaged throughout the process.

Outside of her professional role, Emily has a strong passion for creative expression, which allows her to explore new ideas and maintain balance in her daily life. She also enjoys participating in team sports, particularly volleyball, where she values the sense of connection and communication that comes with working as part of a team.

She completed her bachelor’s degree in occupational therapy in April 2024, followed by a master’s degree in occupational therapy in November 2025 from McGill University. She is a member of the Ordre des ergothérapeutes du Québec (OEQ).

Through her clinical training in acute care, private practice, home support with CLSC services, and post-stroke rehabilitation, Emily gained experience working with a diverse clientele across a variety of settings. These experiences strengthened her commitment to a holistic approach, supporting individuals in developing and regaining their functional abilities while improving their overall quality of life.
