Maude Després-Côté

Maude completed her Master's degree in physiotherapy at the University of Sherbrooke in 2022 with a thesis on fascia and myofascial therapies. Prior to that, she also graduated from Collège Montmorency (2015) as a physiotherapy technologist. She also completed a Bachelor's degree in Kinesiology in 2018 to gain additional background in healthy lifestyle habits and athletic performance.

Since a young age, she has played most ball sports (softball, fastpitch, dodgeball, etc.) at a high level. In addition to being passionate about physical training (weight training, cardio), she enjoys discovering new sports that bring out her competitive spirit, such as tennis and golf.

In order to deepen her knowledge in physiotherapy, Maude has taken various continuing education courses, granting her an attestation in prescribing radiography for acute cases (72 hours) and an attestation to perform spinal (spine, pelvis) and peripheral joint manipulations. She also has experience with orthopedic and post-operative clients, having completed a specialized internship at the CHUS in Sherbrooke with the orthopedic team. Finally, she is familiar with geriatric clients and those suffering from loss of autonomy, having previously worked in hospitals. 

During her training, she developed a particular interest in manual therapy and rehabilitation of sports movements in order to return to sport.
