Biography

Who is Chantal ?

I have been a physiotherapy technologist since 1999, back when we were called physical therapist, if you can believe it! I've been part of the Action Sport Physio family since 2009, where I thrive on helping my patients with their physical rehabilitation! What sets me apart: in the clinic, I teach pain self-management techniques using TENS devices to achieve greater independence. I also collaborate on client training regarding ergonomics and safe functional activities, and outside of work, I teach Salsa to all the people with two left feet!

Training and professional skills

Marie-Victorin College 1999: Diploma in Physiotherapy Technology

Here is an overview of my certifications :

  • Functional Therapy Certification Level 1: Personalized instruction on the use of TENS for home use to effectively manage pain daily.
  • Therapeutic Cupping in Physiotherapy: Have you ever seen athletes with spherical, colored marks? This is cupping: a tissue decompression tool to increase blood and lymphatic circulation, reduce edema, improve tissue flexibility, and reduce pain. Don't worry, the marking is not a necessary evil!
  • Neuroproprioceptive Taping: Have you ever seen athletes with colored tape strips? This skin stimulation technique promotes the reduction of muscle tension, supports the joint, stimulates the muscles, and helps manage pain and swelling
