Biography
Who is Catherine ?
A former competitive gymnast until I was 17, I'm still as active as ever. The many injuries I've suffered along the way have led me to frequent physiotherapy and acupuncture appointments. I fell in love with these professions at the age of 12. A mother since 2018 and 2020, I juggle morning workouts, the wonderful profession of acupuncture, keeping up with my children's routine, engaging in thrilling hobbies, and simply crocheting to relax.
Training and professional skills
I first obtained my diploma in Physical Rehabilitation Techniques at Collège Montmorency in 2012. Following my studies, I worked for about 15 months before moving into another branch of health, acupuncture techniques at Cégep de Rosemont. After 3 years of full-time studies in traditional Chinese medicine, I obtained my diploma in 2017 and I have been a member of good standing with the Order of Acupuncturists of Quebec since then. Given my background in physical rehabilitation, my acupuncture practice mainly focuses on musculoskeletal disorders, but I also have a great interest in women's health and pregnancy monitoring.
Here is an overview of my certifications:
- Obstetrics : Acupuncture from Pregnancy Tests to Postpartum
- Acupuncture in Gynecology : From Puberty to Menopause
- The Perinatal Toolbox
- Myofascial Trigger Points
- Therapeutic Cupping 1 & 2
- Synergy Method and Sports Acupuncture 1 & 2
