Biography

Who is Catherine ?

I’m a physical therapist at Action Sport Physio since 2017. From triathlon, yoga, horseback riding and hiking, I love to touch a little bit of everything in sports. I also developed a passion for embroidery.

Training and professional skills

I finished my master's degree in physical therapy at McGill in 2015. Since, I’ve been a member of OPPQ. At the end of my studies, I studied osteopathy for 4 years to give a more holistic approach in my treatments and to sharpen my manual techniques. Following my maternity leave in 2021, I started to treat the little ones with walking dysfunctions, torticollis and plagiocephaly (flat head syndrome) and motor development disorder. Always wanting to give more to my patients, I specialized in jaw disorders and women’s health (diastasis, pain, training, etc.). It would be my pleasure to listen to you and find the origin of your pain and to bring you back to normal as fast as possible, no matter your age.

Here is an overview of my certifications:

  • Evaluation and treatment for motor development disorders in children (0- 3 years old)
  • Torticollis and plagiocephaly : Peadiatric evaluation and treatment (CHU Ste-Justine)
  • Evaluation of the walking pattern in children and lower limb disorders (CHU Ste-Justine)
  • Level 1 conservative approach for abdominal diastasis
  • Certification for basic and advanced evaluation and treatment of the jaw (temporo-mandibular joint) and cranio-oral-facial disosrders in physical therapy (OPPQ)
  • OPPQ certification for prescribing x-rays
