Biography

Alice Deschênes-Tremblay is a dedicated physiotherapist with a Master’s degree in physiotherapy from Montreal University. Alice has developed a deep expertise in sports rehabilitation and post-surgery recovery, particularly with runners and individuals recovering from surgeries such as total knee arthroplasty (TKA), total hip arthroplasty (THA), and ligament and meniscus repairs (LCA/meniscus). Alice's approach to physiotherapy is rooted in patient education. She believes that understanding the underlying causes of a condition is key to successful recovery. Recognizing that multiple psychosocial factors can influence pain, Alice adopts a personalized treatment plan for each of her patients, carefully considering their lifestyle, available time for treatment, and exercise routines.

For Alice, physiotherapy is a collaborative process, where she strives to empower patients to manage their own pain and recovery while providing the necessary support and guidance. Alice has also completed several specialized courses at the Runner’s Clinic, further enhancing her expertise in sports rehabilitation. She plans to complete her full course of study in running-related physiotherapy to better serve her active clientele. Outside of her professional life, Alice is an outdoor enthusiast with a love for tennis, running, downhill skiing, and backcountry. These activities help her stay connected to her passion for movement and rehabilitation, which she brings into her practice every day.
