Biography
Who is Alexandra?
I’m a massage therapist, certified athletic therapist, and osteopathy student - in short, someone who’s passionate about manual therapy! Even though I now work in very active environments, while growing up, my “sport” was classical piano. Outside the clinic or the football field, you’ll find me at the gym, walking my dog along the river, hiking, or cooking.
Training and professional skills
In 2024, I earned my massage therapy diploma from the A+ Massage Therapy Academy as well as my Sports First Responder certification. The following year, I completed my Bachelor’s degree in Athletic Therapy at Concordia University. Through university internships, I had the opportunity to work with a wide range of patients, from college athletes to geriatric clients. I am currently pursuing studies in osteopathy at the Centre d’enseignement en Ostéopathie to deepen my knowledge of manual therapy.
Here is an overview of my certifications :
- Swedish Massage Diploma: The foundational massage therapy training, complemented by my manual therapy expertise from athletic therapy.
- Sports First Responder: Trained to assess and manage injuries on the field across various sports settings.
